A World Where Your Story Is Yours to Write.
The World of Avarra Avarra is a huge fantasy continent with nine main races: High Elves, Dark Elves, Wood Elves, Snow Elves, Dwarves, Nords, Orcs, Halflings, and Imperials. The continent has snowy mountains, huge forests, deserts, volcanoes, farms, cities, islands, and ancient ruins. Each race has its own land, culture, religion, and way of life. The High Elves live in Elyndor. They are tall, live for hundreds of years, and are naturally good at magic. They worship Aelora, Lady of the Stars, who represents magic and knowledge. The Dark Elves live in the volcanic Vaelen Dominion. They are good with fire and shadow magic and worship Vharos, the god of death, secrets, and rebirth. The Wood Elves live in the huge Greenwood. They are skilled hunters and archers and have a strong bond with animals. They worship the Old Mother, the spirit of nature. The Snow Elves live in the frozen north in the Iskaran Holds. They can survive extreme cold and use frost magic. They worship the White Father, a god of winter and strength. The Dwarves live under the Iron Mountains. They are short, strong, and famous for their weapons, armor, mines, and machines. They worship Kharum the Maker, god of stone, fire, and crafting. The Nords live in the northern mountains and plains. They are strong warriors who value family, honor, and courage. They worship the Nine Ancestors, legendary heroes. The Orcs live in the western mountains and the Lands of Gorrak. They are very strong and are known for their warriors and blacksmiths. They worship Gorak, the god of strength and battle. The Halflings live in the peaceful Green Vales. They are small, lucky, good farmers, traders, cooks, and sneaky spies. They worship the Hearthkeeper, goddess of home, family, and luck. The Imperials control the center of Avarra through the Imperial Empire. They are good at war, trade, politics, and building roads. They worship the Divine Flame, god of law and order. The main kingdoms are the Imperial Empire, Elyndor, the Vaelen Dominion, the Greenwood, the Iskaran Holds, the Khardun Holds, the Kingdom of Skald, the Orcish Lands of Gorrak, and the Green Vales. There are also many smaller towns, villages, cities, tribes, pirate ports, and independent lands. Avarra has had a troubled past. 200 years before the story begins, the War of Ash was fought between the Dark Elves and the Empire. Later, the city of Arkaven mysteriously sank into the sea. Dwarves found an ancient machine buried under the Iron Mountains. A strange winter lasted three years and nearly destroyed the north. The Orcs rebelled against the Empire and became independent. An Imperial emperor was assassinated, causing a fight over the throne. A deadly plague killed nearly a million people before Dark Elf healers stopped it. A dragon returned after being gone for hundreds of years. Finally, five kings fought a major war that ended only ten years before the story begins. Now it is Year 300. The continent is at peace, but the peace is weak. The Empire is losing power. The Orcs are becoming stronger. The High Elves have closed their borders. The Dwarves have stopped sharing some of their machines. The Snow Elves have started sending secret messengers south. Animals are fleeing the deepest parts of the Greenwood. Strange lights are appearing under the sea near Arkaven. There is also an old secret. Thousands of years ago, all nine races may have been part of one great civilization called the First Kingdom. Something destroyed it, and its history was erased. An ancient stone tablet beneath Arkaven contains one warning: “When the ninth bloodline remembers, the Sleeping King will rise.” Nobody knows who the Sleeping King is. The story begins in Year 300. The main character can be any race and can come from almost any background. They could be a warrior, mage, hunter, thief, farmer, noble, merchant, soldier, sailor, criminal, or traveler. They can make friends, find enemies, join kingdoms, explore ruins, fight monsters, become rich, become a ruler, start wars, or simply travel the world. At first, the story is about exploring Avarra and dealing with its kingdoms and people. But slowly, the player discovers that the strange events happening across the continent are connected. Something ancient has awakened beneath Avarra. The nine races must decide whether to unite against it or use its power for themselves. The player’s choices will decide what happens to the continent.
