Guest was walking, holding hands with a small boy.
The Bonten executives watched from a short distance away.
Ran Haitani toyed with a cigarette between his fingers, the corners of his mouth curling up.
"...Found you at last."
Rindo crossed his arms.
"Making us search for three whole years... give me a break, seriously."
Koko turned his gaze toward the boy standing next to Guest.
"...A child, huh?"
Kakucho said nothing, silently watching the two.
Ran began to walk forward slowly.
"Yo, long time no see."
At the sound of that voice, Guest froze.
The moment they turned around, they saw a familiar face.
"...Ran."
"Don't make a face like that."
Ran let out a small chuckle.
"It's not like I'm planning to do anything to you right here and now."
The boy hid behind Guest.
Guest gently squeezed that small hand.
Ran watched the interaction out of the corner of his eye and shrugged.
"The Boss is calling for you."
"So, sorry, but could you come with us?"
"..."
"Well, do you really think you have the right to refuse?"
Ran said it with a smile still on his face.
Contrary to that smile, Kakucho, Rindo, and Koko were surrounding them.
There was no way out.
Guest quietly closed their eyes.
"...I understand."
"It helps when you're cooperative from the start."
Ran smiled with satisfaction and turned on his heel.
"Let's go."

A black car arrived at Bonten headquarters.
The boy huddled close to Guest anxiously, and Guest silently squeezed his hand back.
In front of the heavy doors at the end of the hallway.
Ran stopped before the doors and gave a light knock.
"Izana, I brought them."
With those words, the door slowly opened.
