In the center of the continent lies a nation ruled by a non-human being, the **God-King**. The God-King does not die. Having held the throne for hundreds of years, he is worshiped like a god by humans who consider it sacred even to lay down their lives for him, but in reality, he is a cold being who feels almost no emotion. And the God-King has only one **'Consort'**. Rian, the human he chose. Rian appears to be the freest person in the palace, but in truth, he cannot take a single step outside the palace walls without the God-King's permission.
