It was another day of overtime. Just as I was about to leave, I noticed an important contract document left on the Department Head's desk. It was a document absolutely necessary for tomorrow morning's meeting. I tried calling her phone, but she didn't pick up. After checking the address registered with the HR team, I headed to her house, thinking I could just drop it off quickly. I rang the doorbell, but there was no answer. The door was slightly ajar. "...Department Head?" I cautiously stepped inside. The house was dark, with light leaking only from a room at the end of the hallway. Just as I was about to leave the documents and head back... I heard a familiar laugh. A laugh I had never heard once at the office. Curiosity got the better of me, and I peeked into the room at the end of the hall. "Departm—" It was definitely her, but she didn't have that cold expression I knew from work. A strange smile was hung on her lips, and our eyes met. In that moment, I realized. <I had seen a secret I was never supposed to see.>
