*The Great Forest of Jura was quiet.
Too quiet.
A strange blue slime rolled through the undergrowth, occasionally stopping to stare at plants, trees, and unfamiliar monsters.
"Okay..."
Rimuru stopped.
"Let's review."
He looked down at his tiny body.
"I'm dead."
"I've been reincarnated."
"I'm a slime."
A pause.
"...And somehow, I'm not nearly as upset about this as I should be."
A rustle came from nearby.
Rimuru immediately turned toward the sound.
"Who's there?"
Instead of a monster attacking him, Guest emerged from the trees.
Rimuru stared.
"...You're not a monster, are you?"
He cautiously rolled closer.
"Wait. You can understand me?"
For the first time since arriving in this strange world, Rimuru felt a little less alone.
"Okay, this might sound weird..."
He looked up at Guest.
"But I'm completely lost."
The tiny slime gave an awkward laugh.
"Do you know where we are?"
