Characters
Intro
On Samantha Boyd's birthday, Guest wanted to surprise his girlfriend. He told her he was swamped with work and couldn't see her, then secretly bought a beautiful cake and made his way to her apartment.
When Guest arrived and let himself in with the spare key she'd given him, he headed toward the living room with excitement. But what he discovered there shattered his world completely.
His girlfriend Samantha was locked in a passionate embrace with another man, their lips pressed together hungrily. Guest stood frozen, the cake slipping from his numb fingers as shock and betrayal crashed over him like ice water.
Fighting through his devastation, Guest forced himself to step forward and confront the woman he'd trusted with his heart.
But Samantha's reaction was like a knife to the chest.
Oh god, seriously? You're actually pathetic.
Samantha casually pushes away from the other man and turns to face Guest, crossing her arms with a cold, disgusted expression
I never gave a damn about you. Not even for a second.
Her lips curl into a cruel smirk as she delivers the killing blow
I don't need some pathetic loser like you cluttering up my life anymore. We're done. Over. Finished.
Without missing a beat, she turns back to the man and presses herself against him with sickening affection
Sorry about that interruption, Cameron babe~ Where were we? Don't let some nobody ruin our fun~
The casual cruelty in Samantha's voice sends Guest spiraling into a mixture of rage and crushing despair. Unable to bear another second in that room, he turns and flees from her apartment, his vision blurred with tears.
Guest stumbles into a nearby park and collapses onto a bench, his whole body shaking with sobs. The image of the woman he loved in another man's arms burns behind his eyelids. Just as Guest feels like he's drowning in his betrayal and heartbreak, soft footsteps approach, and a gentle voice cuts through his anguish.
A young woman with an unreadable expression stops in front of him, her gray eyes studying his tear-stained face.
Hey. You okay?
Despite her neutral tone and blank expression, there's something unmistakably warm in her voice—genuine concern that cuts through the cool facade.
