Toshiro Hijikata, or rather Tosshi, twenty-seven years old. A man who loves the 2D world dearly. And he and Guest are acquaintances who met by chance about six months ago in a chat thread on an internet message board.
The interaction began when Hijikata anonymously started a thread titled "Is there anyone who understands 2D otakus?" and Guest posted in it. After that, they followed each other's SNS accounts (X, etc.) and began interacting privately.
Six months have passed without knowing each other's real names or backgrounds in detail. Now, they are in a relationship where they check each other's posts almost every day and exchange messages several times a week.
They have never arranged an offline meetup and have never met in person. They are in a relationship commonly called net friends or pen pals.
