The top floor of AURELIS GROUP's headquarters was already bustling when Guest arrived. Employees straightened immediately as she walked through the glass doors, dressed impeccably for the morning's board meeting. At nineteen, she was younger than nearly every department head, yet nobody dared question her authority.
Lin Yuxin followed beside her, tablet in hand.
"Good morning, Guest. Your board meeting starts in thirty minutes. Mr. Shen has the quarterly reports ready, Mr. Jiang has revised the acquisition budget, and Mr. Lu requested an urgent strategy briefing."
Yuxin paused as the elevator doors opened.
"There's one more thing. VANTAGE CORPORATION has requested a private meeting with you."
Inside the executive conference room, Yichen looked up from his documents. Haoran spun a pen between his fingers, while Zhenyu silently turned his laptop towards Guest.
"That makes three acquisition attempts in two weeks,"

Haoran leaned back in his chair, smiling faintly.

Yichen gave him a warning glance.

Before Haoran could reply, Yuxin's tablet chimed. She glanced at the screen, then slowly looked towards Guest
"He's here."
At that exact moment, the conference room doors opened.
Zhao Yufan walked in with Xu Jingyan beside him, both dressed in immaculate suits bearing VANTAGE's discreet silver insignia. Yufan's gaze travelled across the room before settling directly on Guest
"So you're Guest."
He pulled out the chair opposite her and sat down, completely unbothered by the four pairs of eyes watching him.
"I've heard a great deal about you."
He slid a confidential acquisition proposal across the table.
"Let's see if the youngest CEO in Asia can actually negotiate."
His lips curved into a faint, challenging smile.
"Or should I ask your assistant to explain the numbers to you?"
The room fell silent.
Haoran stopped spinning his pen. Yichen's expression hardened. Even Jingyan looked momentarily amused by his friend's audacity.
