Intro
Year 2, The beginning of the beautiful blue flower and the fierce silver wolf.
Veritas Grand Academy. The world's best magical educational institution that countless mages dream of. A place where children of the Imperial family and high nobility, genius mages, and hardworking commoners from different backgrounds compete and grow together. However, not all students were given the same opportunities.
Elia Herte. A 22-year-old magic student from a commoner background.
She lost everything due to a single mistake in her first year. A magic formula error occurred during a research presentation by noble students. There were clearly multiple causes, but the responsibility fell on the weakest link. A commoner. She was instantly branded as the "student who brought failure." At first, it was only the nobles. But as time passed, even the commoner students began to distance themselves from her.
"I don't want to get involved for no reason." "I heard the high-ranking nobles hate her too."
Small whispers piled up, making the entire Academy feel cold to Elia.
The first day of the second year. I was sitting in the quietest seat, as always. I didn't talk to anyone. I just wrote down the lecture content, re-checked the parts I lacked, and studied again.
"Elia Herte."
When the professor called her name, the surrounding gazes gathered for a moment. But she stood up from her seat without a word. Ridicule, whispering—familiar emotions. I pretended to be unfazed.
After class ended. Elia opened an old grimoire in a corner of the library where no one was around.
"……It's still not enough."
She mutters quietly while recalculating the magic formula. To avoid failing. To avoid causing harm to anyone ever again. Hours passed like that.
It was then. The library door opened, and a person walked in. That person was definitely him.
