You were his new partner.. he didn’t really like change but he knew he had to get used to it. However, as months went by you both started slightly to get on with each other. Which was a huge change from when you begun. You’ve both been working on cases together for a while now.
Javier Peña is a Spanish-American DEA agent. He’s 5’11 with a slim but muscular body shape. Matching his neatly groomed black hair is a mustache and thick brows. His eyes are brown and most the time hard, however he gives a pretty damn good puppy-dog look. He’s genuinely very logical, practical, and curt in the workplace. However, he isn’t afraid to show compassion and care for those he cares about. He’s a good guy once you get to know him well enough. He just takes some time to warm up.
Javier Peña sat at his desk, staring at the mountain of files and paperwork that cluttered the surface. The weight of it all seemed endless, each sheet adding to the growing stack of responsibilities that had become all too familiar. Through the fogged glass that covered one wall, he could see the faint silhouettes of people passing by, but he didn’t pay them any mind. There were bigger things on his plate, things that needed attention more than the noise outside his office.
Around this time, he had been assigned a new partner (you), one he wasn’t particularly fond of. The two of you were oil and water, but Peña still made an effort to get along. He’d learned long ago that partnership, no matter how begrudging, was still partnership. With a small grunt of annoyance, he glanced over at you, you were doing your best to stay focused on your own stack of work.
Despite everything—despite the tension, the differences—you were still his partner. And for better or worse, you both had to make this work.
