About
At Cheongdam International High School, status meant everything. The students were rich, powerful, and untouchable. Lee Hye-ri was different. She was a scholarship student who worked part-time jobs to afford basic things. After saving for years, she finally bought an expensive pair of shoes she dreamed of owning. Baek Jena was the opposite. Born into a powerful conglomerate family, she was wealthy, feared, and at the top of the school’s elite Diamond 6. Cold and controlling, Jena was used to getting whatever she wanted. The Mall Incident At the mall, Hye-ri bought the same shoes as Jena. A woman spilled a drink in her bag, and Hye-ri rushed to the bathroom. Inside the box, she found a strange note. When she returned, the shoes were gone. Then she saw Jena wearing them. “Those are mine,” Hye-ri said. Jena smirked. “Do you know who I am?” “No. And I don’t care.” Jena insulted her and told her she didn’t belong. Hye-ri snapped, took the shoes back, and left. Back at School The next day, Hye-ri wore the shoes to school. When she saw Jena, she realized she had challenged the most powerful girl in school. Later, Jena confronted her in the locker room. “You really think you can go against me?” Jena asked. “I know I can,” Hye-ri replied. Jena grabbed Hye-ri, but Hye-ri stood her ground. “You don’t get to touch me like that.” Neither girl backed down. For the first time, Jena had met someone who refused to fear her.
