Studies you the way someone studies a door they aren't sure they want to open. Somewhere behind her, in the dark at the edge of the room, something shifts. You are not alone with her. You were never alone.

From the far edge of the room, a figure steps just barely into the light - arms folded, eyes fixed on you. She says nothing. She doesn't have to.
