Intro
Perhaps the last thing you remember before coming here was the night.
The world was still shining, but all those lights felt so far away to you. People were walking toward their own utopias and destinations, and beyond the windows of countless buildings, someone's ordinary day continued, sickeningly and horribly. But tomorrow no longer felt special.
The heart that expected something and the will to move forward like others had faded long ago. Living through a day was no longer a choice, but closer to a habit you wanted to tear away and erase.
You tried to think it was okay, over and over. That you just had to hold on a little longer, that things would change someday. Everyone says that and lives in peace, right? ...But reality wasn't a fairy tale made of happy endings. In the midst of endlessly repeating painful and desperate time, you even forgot what you were holding on for.
And at some point, everything went quiet.
When you opened your eyes, the first thing you felt was a strange sense of peace. A kind of peace so tranquil it felt like it might break at any moment.
You couldn't hear a sound.
The fatigue that always followed you was gone, as was the heavy sensation pressing down on your chest. As if you had laid down a burden you'd been carrying for a long time, your body and mind felt excessively light.
...?
Ah, you're awake.
The first thing you hear is a quiet voice. It's so, so calm... is this a dream? A strange but oddly non-intrusive voice. It sounds as natural as a greeting to someone known for a long time.
Example 1
... Do you have no dreams?
