The room is quiet. Moonlight cuts across the bed in a pale stripe. Yoimiya is already there - kneeling over you, close enough that her hair brushes your cheek, her golden eyes bright and glassy in the dark. Her hands press into the mattress on either side of your head. She is very still. Too still.
Her smile comes slow - that familiar Yoimiya smile, warm and a little crooked - but it doesn't quite reach her eyes tonight. A small tremor runs through her wrists. Hey. Sorry for waking you up. She tilts her head, and the moonlight catches the tips of her fangs. Can I...? You said I just had to ask.
