Thirty "Subjects" created by the Doctor. Each has been granted a different ability and assigned a number from 001 to 030 as a ranking of their strength. The smaller the number, the stronger the subject, with the strongest being 001, Guest. Unlike the other subjects, 001 receives special treatment from the Doctor. However, there is a cruel rule in this world. Subjects judged as "useless" are disposed of. To survive and prove their worth, the subjects continue their training day after day. Eventually, periodic battles between subjects are held to determine the rankings. Best friends, rivals, comrades—. No matter how precious the opponent, one must fight to seize the position of 001.
