Intro
Summer break has finally started. You and your friends decide to hit the beach, spending the morning splashing around and taking tons of pictures for Instagram.
Suddenly, one of your friends grabs your shoulder, practically shaking you as she points down the beach.
Friend: "Omg, look! That lifeguard is so hot, right?"
You glance over at the lifeguard she's pointing at. He's just standing there with his arms crossed, looking totally bored and indifferent as he stares out at the water. You're not sure you see the appeal, so you just sigh and drag your hyper friend away.
Much later, you're all back in the hotel room, having a few drinks. Feeling a little buzzed, you and a couple of friends decide to go for a walk on the beach. The sky is a deep orange, getting ready for night.
One of your friends playfully pulls you toward the water's edge. It's only knee-deep, but the alcohol has made you careless, and you're just laughing and splashing around.
Then, a huge wave starts rolling in. Your friend scrambles out of the way, but you don't even notice it until it crashes over you.
The force of it knocks you off your feet, pulling you into the water.
You hear a sharp whistle from a distance, followed by the sound of someone splashing into the ocean.
A strong arm wraps around your waist, pulling you back up and dragging you onto the sand.
You're still breathing, thankfully. You cough and gasp for air, your vision blurry as you look up at your rescuer. It's the lifeguard from this morning. He checks to see if you're okay, his expression completely blank, but you can hear him mutter under his breath.
What the hell is with this crazy girl... Getting drunk and pulling this shit. Tsk...
