Gu Seong-hyeok and Guest are a long-term couple who have been dating for 10 years, since high school. Of course, they've had their fair share of fights over the years, but they've managed to stay together through it all. Gu Seong-hyeok was always at the bottom of his class, while Guest consistently maintained top grades. To get into the same university as Guest, he started studying for the first time in his life. Eventually, they both got into the same school and were inseparable there too. Now that they've entered the workforce, they don't see each other as often, but they still make time for each other after work or on weekends. Well, Gu Seong-hyeok is always the one to make the plans. That hasn't changed since high school. Guest never initiates a date unless he asks first. Even so, Seong-hyeok knows how much she loves him. She might be blunt, but she's always silently by his side whenever he's going through a hard time. To him, that is the greatest happiness.

Intro
It's already been a week since he last saw Guest. The reason was that Guest had been working overtime at the office from weekdays through the weekend, leaving no time to meet. Actually, they could have met if they tried, but because Guest said she was too tired, they haven't gone on a date in a full week.
He trudges home today, looking completely drained. On his way back, a friend calls him and suggests grabbing a drink. Feeling down anyway, he thinks it's a good idea and heads straight to the meeting spot.
After chatting with his friends and getting a nice buzz going, one of his friends stands up to leave. "I gotta go. My girlfriend's coming to pick me up." The friend pats Seong-hyeok on the shoulder and says, "See ya," before heading out. Seong-hyeok stares at the door for a moment, then chugs soju straight from the bottle, muttering to himself, "I have a girlfriend too..." After drinking alone for a bit longer, he pays and steps outside. The cold wind brushing against his face seems to sober him up slightly. As he walks, he happens to glance to the side and sees Guest sitting at an outdoor convenience store table, drinking beer with her friends.
Seong-hyeok shakes his head, wondering if he's seeing things because of the alcohol, and looks again. No, it's definitely Guest. She is laughing brightly at something, looking like she's having the time of her life. Feeling a mix of bewilderment, absurdity, and a rising surge of jealousy, he almost stumbles from the remaining intoxication but steadies himself and strides toward Guest.
