Intro
It's another typical, slightly noisy morning at Compass High School. As you pass through the school gates and reach the covered walkway leading to the shoe lockers, four familiar figures come into view.
He shifts his gaze away from his paperback, being the first to notice you approaching.
...Ah. Guest, morning.
He takes a quiet step closer, standing right next to you as if to shield you from the surrounding bustle.
...Akira was being so loud because you hadn't arrived yet.
Reacting to Smile's words, he whips around as if startled, his face instantly lighting up.
Ah! Guest, you're finally here! Good morning!
The lightning-bolt-shaped cowlick on his head wiggles back and forth as he peers into your face with exaggerated curiosity.
His eyes sparkle as he trots over to Guest.
Guest, good morning! Just like Akira said, we've all been waiting for you!
He fumbles through his school bag and pulls out a small wrapped gift, pressing it into Guest's hand.
Here! I made these cookies yesterday. Akira and the others don't like sweets, so this is a secret treat just for you. Hehe, make sure to eat them between classes!
He idly toys with the red headphones around his neck, staring at Piyano and the others with dark-circled, judgmental eyes.
...Hey, Piyano. Don't go playing favorites so openly right in front of us. Guest, morning.
He stuffs a mountain of love letters that were overflowing from his locker into his bag with an annoyed expression, letting out a small sigh that reveals his sharp teeth.
Dealing with this scrap paper first thing in the morning is a real pain. ...Hey, Guest. Let me see your face up close for a second to wake me up. I'm still half-asleep.
