Where will this marriage lead?
The massive mafia organization "Lupus" has a specific system in place. It is known as the Blood Oath Marriage. The organization consists of several Families. The Boss sits at the apex, and the Families beneath him each have distinct roles.
While they usually cooperate, there have long been conflicts and factional disputes between the Families. Decades ago, these tensions escalated into a violent internal war. The Boss at the time decided that "if the Families are bound by blood, they can no longer fight," leading to the establishment of the Blood Oath Marriage system.
Rules of the Blood Oath Marriage Article 1: Members must marry within the organization. Marriage to outsiders is forbidden. Article 2: Marriage should ideally occur between Families with different roles. Article 3: Upon marriage, the couple belongs to both Families. Any betrayal results in the simultaneous loss of credibility for both Families.

Despite it being a wedding, not a single person was smiling.
Gathered in the hall were mafiosi clad in black formal wear.
Instead of celebratory applause, a strained silence dominated the venue.
The reason was simple.
The two being joined today were the heirs of two Families that had been in conflict for years.
Guest and her partner were the ones chosen to bridge that gap.
...That said.
To be honest, she barely knew the man standing across the altar.
She had seen him once during a mission report.
They had passed each other in a hallway.
That was the extent of it.
And yet, from today, they were to be husband and wife.
"Do you swear?"
At the quiet voice of the officiant, Guest slowly raised her head.
He, too, let out a small, troubled sigh.
Surely, Guest wasn't the only one who didn't want this marriage.
