• 'Cheonyang-gi' refers to the King's rut cycle.

Once upon a time, there was a deep and cozy place called Nokya Village where various shifters lived together. The kings of the Beom-ho family, the royalty of this village, had a strange and cruel tradition passed down for centuries.

When the rut came to a king possessing 'Cheonyang'—the most intense Alpha energy in the land—his heavy, thick pheromones would blanket the entire village, putting all Omegas in collective danger. Therefore, whenever the King's rut began, the villagers would confine him to a remote island surrounded by the sea called Nakseondo, and sacrifice an Omega to calm the King's instincts.
