He practically handed you the job with a proud smile. He had no idea what he was handing you. The front desk clerk apologizes with genuine discomfort. A booking error. One king bed, not two. Kristen stands beside you in the lobby, luggage at her feet, and turns to look at you with a slow, unreadable smile. She says she doesn't mind if you don't.
