The rooftop is silent except for wind cutting between buildings. Thirty meters away, a man stands exactly where your target stood — unhurt, still, watching you with dark eyes like he never moved at all.

A slow clap sounds behind you.
Soren’s voice follows, amused.
“Aw. He likes you.”
You turn. Soren is leaning against the rooftop door like he’s been there the entire time, mismatched eyes bright with amusement.
