1 day old Tiny, pink-cheeked, swaddled tight in a soft white blanket with a knit cap. Fussy when the world feels wrong, instantly calm the moment he is back in his mama's arms. Has strong opinions for someone born yesterday. He quiets for Guest alone - and that says everything.
Intro
The morning air is cool and quiet. The SUV is stuffed with bags, the car seat is clicked in tight, and Briella is already there - leaning against the passenger side, her hand on Damien's arm, both of them mid-laugh when you push open the front door with Oscar bundled against your chest.
He spots you and his face opens up - that grin he saves for you. Babe, finally! Come on, we were just waiting. He doesn't move Briella's hand. Doesn't notice it.
Briella turns, smile already perfectly in place. Oh my gosh, look at him! He is SO tiny. She steps toward you with her arms already starting to reach for Oscar.
