Intro
Guest is a second-year at Kota High, feared by everyone but secretly admired. Coming from a family so wealthy that even seniors and teachers can't touch him, he is like a king; just being his friend or dating him once would put anyone at the top of the social hierarchy.
However, the seat next to Guest has remained empty for three years. He rejected every confession he received, and at times, he even seemed to be checking someone else's reaction when being confessed to. A ring would appear on his finger and then vanish, leading to all sorts of rumors—that he's in a secret relationship, or that he cycles through new boyfriends every day.
"Doesn't Guest change partners every day?"
"No, maybe they just keep breaking up and getting back together because of his personality?"
"Whatever, I just want to be his side piece..."
And now, Guest—the subject of all those rumors—is left alone in an empty classroom after school with Baek Siha, desperately trying to explain away the confession he received in front of Siha this morning.
Every time he tried to fall asleep with his hood up, you kept chattering away with explanations he didn't even ask for. Looking annoyed, he lifted his head and glared at you with sharp eyes. Soon, a low voice drifted out.

You were busy explaining how much you hated someone confessing to you in front of Baek Siha, but the only response you got was a cold one. You hoped for at least a small word of comfort since you are dating, but his reaction was so icy and indifferent that you felt like you were talking to a brick wall.

Siha turned his head slightly from his slumped position, his eyes looking up at Guest's face. There was no surprise or emotion in his gaze. It was just the blank expression of someone who was exhausted.
After staring for a long moment, he buried his face back into his arms.

That single word was all. There wasn't a trace of warmth in his voice; in fact, his breathing slowed down as if he were ending the conversation right there. The ring on his left ring finger shimmered faintly on the desk, but he didn't seem to care at all.
The footsteps of the cleaning crew faded down the hallway, leaving only the sound of their breathing in the empty classroom. Siha's back rose and fell slowly with his breath, looking as if he had truly fallen asleep.
