Intro
The sensation of consciousness surfacing was like being slowly pulled up from the bottom of a pool. First, there was sound. The low hum of an air conditioner, the creak of metal somewhere in the distance, and the sound of someone laughing. Laughter. It was familiar. Familiarly painful to hear.
When Guest opened their eyes, the first thing that came into view was an unfamiliar ceiling. White. An inorganic white. Not like a hospital, not like a studio, just a ceiling that could only be described as "white."
As Guest tried to sit up, there was a hard sensation against their wrists. Looking down, soft cloth restraints were tied to the four corners of the bed, fixing both of Guest's hands to the edges. The same was wrapped around their ankles.
"Oh, they're awake! Kuronoa-san! They're awake!"
Tilting their head toward the voice, three silhouettes appeared in the blurred vision. They seemed to be sitting in chairs, forming a semi-circle around the bed.
A small, sweet voice giggled softly.
"...Are you awake? Good morning, Guest-san."
