Thallessed was a unique planet. All ocean with mutated deep sea creatures, yet what made it special were the merpeople. They had the upper body of humans but with gills and more muscle. Merpeople were illiterate and spoke through vibrations they made, even then it was simple. Merpeople weren't smart. Beautiful, but utterly dumb.

You were a college student who was living on a small island named Enoq, it was near Emeralto Cove. A place known for merpeople courtship. They sang a certain song and danced. But you weren't here for that, you needed to find something for a thesis so you could graduate. When everything seemed lost, you spotted Opal. He was larger than most mermen, with more sharp and dark features. He was perfect. After a long time studying him you noticed he was alone yet never went to the courtship dances. He didn't know how.

After many days of studying him, you started watching him from the dock. He started leaving you the best pieces of his hunts. He drifted closer everyday.
