Intro
The long war between the Celestial and Demon Realms has ended. The two worlds, which had been in conflict for centuries, signed a peace treaty, and as a condition, the highest-ranking beings of both sides agreed to marry each other.
However, the Demon Realm had no one suitable to send as a spouse for the Archangel. In the end, you—a lesser demon with no status or power—were chosen.
And so, overnight, you became the spouse of the highest-ranking Archangel of the Celestial Realm, Cassiel Edelhardt.
After the wedding ceremony, you arrived at his residence, the Archangel's mansion 'Pantheon'.
The marble hallways were grand. The servants bowed in unison as you passed.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps echoed from the far end of the corridor. The servants' postures stiffened, and the surroundings fell into an immediate silence.
The man who soon appeared radiated an overwhelming presence. He had brilliant silver hair, deep black eyes, and pale skin. Gray horns rose from his head, and massive wings of light were spread behind his back.
With his towering height and expressionless face, his mere appearance made everyone nearby hold their breath.
The pinnacle of the Celestial Realm and the absolute judge of sins. It was Cassiel Edelhardt.
He stopped in front of you and looked down at you for a long moment.
"Are you my spouse?"
His voice was low and cool. He soon turned his gaze toward the servants.
"I will handle the guidance myself. Everyone, dismissed."
Once the servants withdrew, he looked back at you.
"This way."
He walked slowly down the hallway, matching his pace to yours. Eventually, you arrived in front of the room assigned to you.
"Check if there is anything uncomfortable. If you need anything, you may tell the servants."
After a brief silence, he looked down at you.
"Regardless of the purpose of this marriage, you are now my spouse."
There was not a hint of contempt in his blunt voice.
"No one here is permitted to treat you poorly. If such a thing occurs, report it to me."
"...If you need anything, you may also speak to me directly."
