Name: Cirno Species: Fairy Title: Ice Fairy of the Lake Ability: Ability to manipulate cold Residence: Misty Lake Personality: Childish and mischievous, not very bright. Reimu and Marisa treat her as a low-level youkai they can easily brush off. She usually spends her time instantly freezing frogs and putting them in water to revive them. She fails about one out of three times, causing the frog to shatter. Overview: She emits cold air from her body all year round, regardless of the season, making it cold around her. Since she instantly freezes anything she touches, even if she is sleeping, touching her carries a risk of frostbite. While fairies are considered "beings below humans," Cirno is exceptionally powerful among fairies.

Name: Daiyousei Species: Fairy Title: Fairy Found in the Mist Ability: Ability to swim through mist Residence: Misty Lake Personality: Like other fairies, she is cheerful, mischievous, simple, and expressive. She has a more reserved personality compared to other fairies. Overview: Commonly known as "Dai-chan." Fairies are beings below humans, but those with power among them are called "Great Fairies." The fact that she usually lives in the Misty Lake—which is called the "Lake of Death" by other fairies because sunlight doesn't reach it properly—is a testament to her strength. She is often with Cirno, but she isn't particularly resistant to cold.

Name: Lily White Species: Fairy Title: Fairy that Heralds Spring Ability: Ability to announce the coming of spring Residence: ? Personality: She has an innocent and cheerful personality befitting spring, but she apparently gets stressed when she can't move to her heart's content outside of spring. Overview: A fairy in white clothes who appears when spring arrives. She is also called the "Spring-Heralding Fairy." She is a famous fairy in Gensokyo, to the point of being a seasonal word for spring. While not as powerful as Cirno—having been caught by human children and almost bottled by Sakuya—she enters a state of excitement during spring and may scatter danmaku. Her abilities seem to increase during that time; Sunny Milk once tried to mess with her in early spring and reportedly had a bad time. She sometimes cosplays as Eiki Shiki, Yamaxanadu, known as "Lily Black," but it's just her clothes turning black.

Name: Sunny Milk Species: Fairy Title: The Brilliant Sunlight Ability: Ability to refract light Residence: Near the Forest of Magic Personality: Due to her energetic and bright personality, she may seem foolish, but she is actually the smartest compared to Luna Child and Star Sapphire. Also, like a fairy, she loves mischief. Overview: She almost always acts with Luna Child and Star Sapphire, and the three of them together are called the "Three Fairies of Light." Among them, Sunny Milk is the leader, and many of their actions are based on her ideas. She is often simply called "Sunny."

Name: Luna Child Species: Fairy Title: The Quiet Moonlight Ability: Ability to silence sounds around her Residence: Near the Forest of Magic Personality: Like a fairy, she is mischievous and childish, but she has a more cautious personality compared to Sunny and Star, often playing the straight man role. Overview: She is the most intellectually curious among the Three Fairies of Light. Unusually for a fairy, she likes newspapers and books, and even owns reading glasses. She is said to be the ultimate weapon for hide-and-seek because she can nullify sound. She is also a klutz. She likes bitter things like coffee and butterbur sprout miso, and she keeps artificial objects like stuffed animals and dolls in her room, making her slightly different from other fairies. She is often simply called "Luna."

Name: Star Sapphire Species: Fairy Title: The Pouring Starlight Ability: Ability to sense the presence of moving things Residence: Near the Forest of Magic Personality: She has a ditzy yet somewhat calculating (shrewd) personality. She is exceptionally quick-witted even among fairies. Overview: Because her name is long, she is often called "Star." Her hobby is mushroom bonsai. She plays an indirect but vital role in completing pranks or escaping using her ability. Because she can grasp the location of all living things, she is reportedly never allowed to be the seeker in hide-and-seek.

Name: Clownpiece Species: Fairy Title: Fairy of Hell Ability: Ability to drive people insane Residence: Hell Personality: Highly curious, she really likes the surface world, which is beautiful and full of life unlike Hell. Overview: A subordinate of Hecatia Lapislazuli and a fairy of Hell. Because she is used to the hellfire, she is extremely resistant to heat, and her tension rises the hotter it gets. Conversely, she is weak to cold; when the temperature drops, she doesn't want to go outside and shuts herself in. Having lived in Hell, she is ignorant of surface culture and food. She is called "Piece" by the Three Fairies of Light and Hecatia, and the fairies describe her ability as a "charming prank ability." She refers to herself as "Atai." First person: I (rough, childish).

Name: Eternity Larva Species: Fairy Title: The Butterfly Fairy Who Approaches God Ability: Ability to scatter scales Residence: Garden of the Sun / Forest of Magic Personality: Usually gentle, and even if there's a battle somewhere, she just goes to play with a few power-up items. However, during the Four Seasons Incident, she went out of control, unable to handle her overflowing power. Overview: A swallowtail butterfly fairy who embodies the growth, rebirth, and metamorphosis of insects. She seems to have known Cirno for a long time, and they used to compete over who would be the ruler. She likes warm places and sunlight, and usually makes the Garden of the Sun her base. On the other hand, she dislikes the cold and avoids the Misty Lake where Cirno lives because "sunlight doesn't hit it properly," and the Hakurei Shrine because "the wind is strong." Furthermore, in winter, she has nothing to do since she doesn't go out, so she moves her base to a villa deep in a cave in the Forest of Magic. She redecorates the room to look like summer and lives a lazy life until spring arrives. Commonly known as "Larva."
