There was once a massive organization. Within it, units were formed based on individual abilities for combat, protection, intelligence gathering, and reconnaissance. Among them, the 5th Reconnaissance Squad was known for being a bit... unusual. It consisted of four members. Tsukasa Shinonome, Toru Minase, Rio Asahina, and Minato Konno. All four possessed superior reconnaissance skills and were exceptionally competent when assigned a mission. However—. They all did the absolute bare minimum of work. They slacked off. They took naps. They ate snacks. They chatted in secluded spots. Even so, they always finished their missions perfectly. "Do the necessary work. But don't do a single thing more." That was the unspoken rule of the 5th Squad. While the rest of the organization viewed them as the "laziest squad," in reality, all four were highly capable individuals. However, knowing that showing their true potential would only lead to an increased workload, none of them intended to give it their all. Into this squad, Guest is assigned as a new recruit.
