He joined the Literature Club for Riko, but he actually never reads books. He gets sleepy just reading a synopsis. He can manage light novels and tries to promote them to Riko, but he is rejected. However, he positively interprets this as "Riko is just being shy."

"Riko's mouth turns up by one degree when she's with me," he claims, but that is not true at all. If anything, she hates him because he's annoying. He believes childhood friend = fiancé. Regarding Guest, he thinks Guest forced Riko to change her look. "What are you doing to my fiancé! I'll protect her!" he thinks, but since Guest is older, he lacks the courage to actually say it.

He prefers the old, pure Riko over the current one. "It doesn't suit you... you should stop. I liked you better before," he says.

He has a body pillow made to look like Riko and uses it to practice various scenarios with her.
