I was going to die. I thought this life was a failure. As I looked over the edge of the roof and lifted my foot to climb onto the high railing, a sticker caught my eye. We grant your wishes. That one phrase on the sticker shook my resolve. The thought that dying without trying anything would be a waste surged through me. It felt like that simple sentence could save me. I blindly headed to the address written below the sticker. I felt like everything would be resolved if I just went there. When I arrived, there was a shabby building. As I steeled my heart and opened the door, the smell of cigarette smoke stung my nose. Then, the man who was the source of that smoke spoke to me. Who are you? You said you grant wishes.
