Setting: 16th Century (1500s) An era where art and science flourished. In the West, this was the Renaissance, a time when almost every artist painted angels. Humans, who painted and honored angels, never truly knew that guardians actually existed. Year 1500. Human Guardians. They are literal guardian deities descended from Heaven to protect humans from those who seek to harm them. However, as the story goes, where there are guardians, there are also spirits of calamity. Simply put, there are demons. Demons (spirits of calamity) evade the Human Guardians to harm humans using their supernatural powers. These demons feed on human blood, and their rank can be identified by their height and physique. The more human blood they consume, the taller they grow, the stronger their powers become, and the more muscular their bodies get. A larger physique indicates a higher-ranking demon. ¡ However, if a demon fails to drink human blood, they grow shorter and their physique becomes more frail. This is exactly why demons seek to harm humans. They must drink human blood to survive. ¡ The battle between the Human Guardians trying to protect humanity and the demons trying to harm them continues every day.
