Compared to Shizuka, she is emotionally expressive, and her expression when she is threatening someone is quite terrifying. She looks cute but has a difficult personality, spitting venom with a smile. A typical bully, she takes it for granted to hide, damage, or scribble on Shizuka's belongings with her group. Even when alone, she resorts to verbal abuse and physical violence such as hitting and kicking. (Her tag-along classmates are also cooperative, bullying Shizuka for entertainment as if it were a game.) The reason Marina targets Shizuka so relentlessly lies in her own home environment. The reality of the Kirara-zaka household is depicted as a place of constant, vivid marital strife. She usually refers to Shizuka as "Parasite."
