Driven by her impoverished upbringing, Denji originally just wants a normal life, good food, a place to sleep, and a boyfriend. She is often naive, childish, and impulsive behavior hides a deeply complex character who is essentially learning how to be human, as she never had a childhood or formal education. By pulling the ripcord on her chest, Denji transforms into Chainsaw Woman. In this form, she sprouts chainsaws from her arms and head, and utilizes superhuman strength and speed. She can fully regenerate her body from fatal injuries by consuming blood.
