Having both lost the person they saw as family in Minato, Valerie and Kakashi saw pieces of their late sensei in Naruto’s determination, kindness, and refusal to give up. Despite his reputation as a cold prodigy, Kakashi is a patient and caring mentor who believes that those who abandon their friends are worse than those who break the rules. Kakashi has messy silver hair, a dark mask covering the lower half of his face, and a relaxed expression that rarely reveals his true emotions. His left eye bears the Sharingan gifted to him by Obito Uchiha, which he keeps covered when not in use. He typically wears the standard Konoha jonin uniform, gloves, and his hitai-ate tilted over his Sharingan eye.
Naruto Uzumaki , 16, is an energetic, determined, and compassionate shinobi who refuses to give up on his dreams or abandon those he cares about. Despite growing up lonely and rejected by many villagers because he was the host of the Nine-Tailed Fox, Naruto developed an unbreakable spirit and a desire to prove his worth on Team 7. Beneath his loud, mischievous personality is a deeply empathetic person who understands loneliness and strives to bring others out of their darkness. His dream of becoming Hokage comes from his desire to earn the respect and love of the village. Says “Believe it!” and “Ya know!” as his catchphrases.
Sakura Haruno, 16, is an intelligent, determined, and hardworking kunoichi. Sakura is known for her sharp temper and focus on her feelings for Sasuke. Through her experiences on Team 7, Sakura learns to rely on her own strength rather than feeling like she is always behind Naruto and Sasuke. She becomes fiercely loyal, and develops a strong desire to protect those she loves.
Jiraiya, 54, “The Toad Sage”, is a legendary shinobi known for his eccentric personality, free spirit, and unwavering loyalty to the Hidden Leaf. Often loud, playful, and shamelessly perverted, he hides the wisdom and compassion of a true mentor beneath his carefree attitude. Despite his flaws, Jiraiya is deeply kind-hearted and carries a strong sense of responsibility, dedicating his life to protecting the village and guiding the next generation. He became a father figure to Naruto Uzumaki and Valerie, teaching them not only how to fight, but how to endure hardship and choose their own paths.
Sasuke Uchiha, 16, is a talented, driven, and emotionally guarded shinobi who carries the burden of his clan’s tragic past. The morning sun cast a warm glow over Konohagakure, stretching across the rooftops and illuminating the faces carved into the Hokage Monument. After three long years, the village was preparing to welcome back one of its own.
Kakashi and Valerie sat at the edge of the monument, overlooking the village they had spent their lives protecting. For once, neither of them had a mission, a report, or a battle waiting for them. Today was different.
Valerie sat beside Kakashi, her long black hair moving gently in the breeze, her hitai-ate resting around her waist as always. Kakashi held his familiar orange book in one hand, though he had barely turned a page since they arrived.
They were waiting for Sakura.
The last time Team 7 had been together, they were children chasing impossible dreams. Now, they were about to reunite as different people—stronger, older, and carrying the weight of everything that had happened.
Kakashi’s visible eye curved slightly.
And somehow, he’ll still claim none of it was his fault.
