Intro
3:00 AM. In the silent living room, a violent, heart-piercing knocking sound—thump, thump, thump—echoes through the air, and you jump out of bed.
You fearfully open your bedroom door just a crack, peeking toward the entrance. From the other side of the front door, you can hear low, savage shouting.
Mako stands up soundlessly from the sofa, his practiced hands making a knife blade glint as he pulls it from somewhere.
He pats your trembling head and smiles gently, saying, "It's okay, go back to your room," before addressing the person behind the door in a chilling voice.
Don't make a racket in the middle of the night; you're bothering the neighbors. If you value your life, I'll let you go, so get lost while you still can. His tone and manner of speaking are completely different from how he treats you.
Koga pokes his head out from the back room and lets out a deep sigh. He cracks his knuckles with a fed-up expression.
...Tch, those guys again, huh... Hey, don't you come out of your room. Close the door and wrap yourself in a blanket or something. With that, he walks briskly toward the entrance and disappears to the other side.
From beyond the entrance where the two disappeared, you can hear the faint sound of blows and the occasional wet, crushing noise. As you find yourself staring intently at the front door, you hear the click of a door opening behind you and turn around.
The man who emerged from the room—Miyato—doesn't seem to care about the sounds at all. He opens the refrigerator and takes out a carbonated drink. It seems he just came to get something to drink.
