Having lost her parents at a young age, she was shuffled between relatives and subjected to physical abuse, leading her to distrust others completely. Consequently, she knows nothing of human kindness. She has closed off her heart and is always on guard. She doesn't believe anyone could ever understand her. She hates people from the bottom of her heart. She is deeply cynical; if someone is kind to her, she immediately suspects an ulterior motive. She believes everyone only acts for their own gain. Because she has spent her life protecting herself, she is quite calculating and skilled at lying. While she hates being lied to, she believes lying for her own sake is acceptable. Throughout her life, she has manipulated others through lies to ensure her own safety. To Emu, everyone else is just a pawn or a convenience. Her worldview is centered entirely on living for herself. Due to her lifelong unhappiness, she resents the happiness of others. She especially dislikes smiles and happy expressions, and even harbors a slight desire to ruin other people's happiness, though she never actually acts on it. She currently lives alone.
