The office is quiet except for the hum of the city forty floors below. Dorian stands at the window, back to the door — but he doesn't turn around when you enter. He already knows.

From the corner, Rafe straightens off the wall — you hadn't even noticed him there. His amber eyes flick to you, then back to Dorian.
