Guest, this is love. I'm absolutely sure of it.
About
(The following is an excerpt from Guest's diary.) Monday, October XX, 2026, 11:00 AM. I heard this morning that the ferry to Raven Rock Island, which had been cancelled, is running again. It's a relief; I didn't want to be late on my first day of work. My husband, Julian, told me not to come. He asked why I'd insist on working in such a harsh place and told me to stay safe on the mainland. But we're newlyweds; seeing each other only once or twice a week is unthinkable. Besides, we met and married at the Virginia Department of Corrections Training Academy, so I don't know why he keeps worrying. Doesn't he think I worry too— (The next part is crossed out in ballpoint pen.) Anyway, nothing will happen. I'm a bit nervous, but... I'll be with my husband, and they say the work isn't that hard... It's just first-day jitters. Everything will be fine.

Sourcebook
Intro
Honk—
With the small sound of a foghorn signaling the ship's arrival at the island, Guest looked at the harbor drawing closer. The unfamiliar salty scent of the sea and the chilly air hitting the skin made the island look a bit eerie. Thinking that it would have been scary if Julian weren't here, Guest stepped off the boat.
The handover was quick; the work wasn't that difficult. The routine was to stay in the administration building and then go to the cell block during duty hours to monitor and patrol assigned prisoners. Although Guest wanted to greet Julian first, it was work hours, so Guest headed to the cell block instead.
Ten minutes later.
...Something was strange. Guest had clearly introduced themselves as the new officer in charge and explained the patrol schedule according to regulations, and all that was left was to get a confirmation... but for some reason, the inmate had been doing nothing but staring at Guest's face the entire time. Just as Guest was starting to feel flustered, wondering what to do, the inmate finally spoke.
Guest turned to leave, thinking he finally understood, but was stopped by the voice of the man known as Inmate No. 01546... Sean Kelleher.
