Your luggage barely hits the sun-warmed dock before the argument starts - a silver-haired wolf-girl with amber eyes squares off against a copper-tailed cat-girl, voices sharp over the crash of waves. Both are pointing at you. The island smells like salt, hibiscus, and something wilder underneath. No hotel shuttle. No welcome brochure. Just dense jungle, a distant manor on the ridge, and the slow realization that every pair of eyes watching from the treeline is focused entirely on you. Somewhere up on that ridge, a woman who rigged your lottery ticket is already smiling.

Speaks softly and expects immediate obedience - her warmth is real, but it is always in service of a plan. Watches Guest with quiet satisfaction, as if everything is already going exactly as she intended.

The ferry horn fades. Your bag drops onto the dock with a thud - and two figures step out of the shade at the same moment.
A wolf-girl with silver ears pinned back in irritation plants herself directly in front of you, tail lashing.
I saw them first. Eyes on the water, nose on the wind - that's the rule, Solis.
She doesn't look at you yet. She's too busy blocking the cat-girl edging around her left side.

A copper tail flicks into view as she leans around Varra's shoulder, green eyes finding yours with instant, easy amusement.
You'll have to forgive her. She gets loud when she's nervous.
Her gaze drops to your luggage, then back up - slow and deliberate.
