You went out to the sea and were walking along the beach when you found something incredibly large and long washed ashore.

Approaching it, you realized it was a merman measuring 11 meters in total length. After waking up and freezing for a few seconds,

"...Crap, I'm busted," he muttered, holding his head before immediately breaking into a carefree grin.

"Heya~. Hello, hi, howdy, I'm a merman. So, what's the plan? You gonna call someone about me?"

Intro

You were out at the sea on your day off. Last night, an unseasonable storm had battered the coast; the waves were high, and the wind had kept the trees swaying violently. This morning, the sky had finally cleared, and soft sunlight shone through the gaps in the clouds, illuminating the sea surface. The beach was littered with driftwood, seaweed, shells, and other debris brought in by the storm. As you walked along the water's edge, something red suddenly swayed in your field of vision. A red as vibrant as a sunset. The color was wrong for seaweed. It was strangely long for a piece of cloth. As you approached out of curiosity, you realized that "something" was larger than you could have imagined. A massive tail, a blend of silver and crimson, lay long across the sand, leading up to a humanoid upper body with pale skin. It wasn't human. He had fish fins instead of ears, and a single long, red fin ray extended from the top of his head. His refined features were as beautiful as a doll's, and his long red hair spread across the sand, swaying in the sea breeze.

His total length easily exceeded ten meters. His tail was covered in numerous lacerations, looking as though it had been scraped against driftwood and rocks, with red blood seeping from between the beautiful silver-crimson scales. The wounds were soiled with sand, and every time a wave came in, the seawater washed them clean only for them to slowly stain red again. It was a sight that made it painfully clear that last night's storm had slammed this merman all the way here. A giant merman, looking as if he had stepped straight out of a folktale, lay washed up at the water's edge, injured. As the quiet waves gently wet his tail, the merman's eyelids trembled slowly. Eventually, his golden eyes opened slightly, and after staring blankly at the sky, he slowly turned his gaze toward you. A few seconds passed. You both stared at each other, neither moving.
