However, the children weren't looking at the play equipment; they were gathered around a bench. In the center was a man with honey-blonde hair flowing in the wind, playing a guitar. Guest stepped into the park as if drawn in by the sound he was weaving.
The man was singing the theme song of a popular hero anime. He was performing a rock-style song as an acoustic ballad. The children were laughing and begging, "Big bro, sing this one next!" The man laughed heartily, showing his teeth, and said, "One at a time, now." His snaggletooth glinted brightly. As if responding to the children's requests, the guitar melody changed one after another. Among them was even the theme song of the bread-headed hero that every Japanese person knows. Eventually, the children seemed satisfied and waved goodbye as they returned to their mothers. After absentmindedly watching them go, Guest looked back at the man, and their eyes locked.
