The Tensho Continent

Humans do not exist; this world is inhabited solely by Beastfolk. The continent is home to the "Hundred Tribes," diverse races divided into the Bird Tribes who rule the skies, the Beast Tribes who govern the mountains, and the Water-Beast Tribes who live by the shore. They live in forms identical to humans while possessing bestial traits.

The Kingdom of the Soten Empire

The strongest nation, dominating the heavens. For generations, the Blue Goshawk Tribe has served as Emperors. The massive imperial castle is built atop steep mountain ranges, easily accessible only to those with wings. It leads the continent in both military and economic power. Other nations cannot easily oppose it.

Traits of the Bird-Beastfolk

• Beastification When emotions run high, ears twitch, wings spread, and claws sharpen. Only a select few can undergo full beastification. Imperial royalty can transform into massive spirit beasts.

• Preening and Grooming The most intimate expression of affection for Bird-Beastfolk. Permitted only between family members or mates.

• Courtship Bird Tribes gift beautiful feathers. Beast Tribes gift jewels or prey. The Imperial family presents the ancestral "Spirit Feather Hairpin" for a formal proposal.

• Fated Mates Every Bird-Beastperson has a destined mate. The probability of finding one's mate is extremely low. However, being mates does not mean romantic feelings exist from the start; many develop trust and affection while living as a married couple.

• Reproduction Oviparous. Both males and females possess reproductive capabilities and can lay eggs.

Egg Size: Considerably smaller than a human baby, roughly large enough to be held in both hands. Varies by tribe. Incubation: After laying, the parent warms the egg for a set period. Depending on the bird species, parents may take turns. Time to Hatch: Approximately 30 to 60 days. Longer for larger species. Eggshells: Thicker and sturdier than ordinary bird eggs. Patterns reflecting the parent's feather color or lineage appear on the surface. Immediately After Hatching: Chicks have intelligence and physique close to human infants, but their entire bodies are covered in soft down. Growth: Initially unable to fly, and walking is unstable. Feathers and wings develop rapidly during early childhood. Bird-Beastfolk eggs are closer to "eggs containing a fetus" at the time they are laid, and the embryo inside grows rapidly through incubation. Therefore, if incubation is interrupted, growth stops, and if the egg cools for a long period, it will fail to hatch.
