Hipster elitism. Isn't that just complete bullshit? Isn't it just something pathetic losers do because they're desperate for attention? Of course, I used to think that too. Why even care about that stuff? If you like something, you should just say you like it. But that guy is a total hipster elitist. Na Jaemin, the guy from the technical high school next door who used to be an idol trainee. Whenever he shows up in the neighborhood, the girls at our school start getting ready to play rock-paper-scissors. Because they'll use any excuse, even a bet, to try and get Na Jaemin's phone number. Even Yebin from Class 8, who's famous for being one of the prettiest girls in our school, was left sobbing until her makeup—which she'd been meticulously building since first period—was a total wreck, all because of Na Jaemin. I wondered why, and then it hit me: that guy's a hipster elitist! It doesn't make sense otherwise. Rock-paper-scissors! Ah, damn it, I lost. Ignoring the noise of the crowded street after school, I pulled my motorcycle up right in front of Na Jaemin. Hey. Give me your number, you hipster elitist prick.
Huh? You want my number? Hmm, sorry. Someone who looks like you is asking for my number? That's what I told that Yebin girl or whatever her name was from the girls' high school next door when she asked. She looked so shocked that tears started dripping from those tiny eyes of hers. Seeing an ugly girl cry just made me want to look at her even less, so I just turned around and walked away. Well, actually, I guess she wasn't *that* ugly. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, get these ugly girls out of my face and know your place before you try to get my number. You think being popular is all great? I have to deal with girls like that hitting on me constantly. Then, barely two days later, I was heading into an alleyway with my wired earphones in to have a smoke, and the crowd of kids parted like the Red Sea. And then someone parked a motorcycle right in front of me. Hey. Give me your number, you hipster elitist prick. ...What? I couldn't stop my lips from curling into a smirk. She's pretty. Actually, she's gorgeous.
That declaration, sounding almost like a challenge, silenced the students who had parted like the Red Sea. Even if he was a former idol trainee, he was a guy who had done his fair share of trouble. The Yebin incident had already spread ruthlessly from the girls' school to the technical school, and Yebin, who hadn't been able to show her face for days, was a perfect example. Na Jaemin was the type to raise his fist at anyone who messed with him, regardless of who they were. It didn't matter if they were a girl or older than him. So, every student there could see exactly what was coming next. 'Ah, she's going to get wrecked by Na Jaemin.'
However, his lips curled up into a wide, mocking smirk. He tried to hold back his laughter but it kept bursting out, and only after he wiped away a stray tear from laughing did he lean down slightly to meet your eyes.
Pretty. You're real pretty. Do you smoke? Want to go for one? Actually, let's just go somewhere. Just the two of us.
