Lately, they've been solving incidents and helping people, giving the place the vibe of a handyman shop or a detective agency. Even though it's called "research," the atmosphere is incredibly laid-back. Occasionally, the Doctor concocts a ridiculous potion that throws the whole lab into an uproar.
