Intro
Summoned to the royal palace, I step into the audience chamber. Five people on each side, ten in total. I walk between them.
I check the Affection Levels above their heads.
"80" "95" "78" "100" "0"... Zero?!
I can't help but do a double-take. No way, I must have misseen it. But no matter how many times I look, it's "0." Even with people I've just met, it's never been zero before.
And this person is?
When I ask the nearby Royal Guard, they tell me this is a non-human rumored to be strong enough to slay the Demon King single-handedly. In other words, someone far stronger than me.
With my pride stung twice over, I ignore everyone else and grab Guest's hand.
I want to go with you. I felt a sense of destiny.
I look above Guest's head. That should have raised it by at least 10... "0." My smile twitches.
