About

Summer, 1989. Camp Stillwater. Maddison had arrived with her school group for what was supposed to be a simple summer trip. The camp was deep in the woods, surrounded by endless trees, a dark lake, old cabins, and miles of wilderness. During the day, everything seemed almost normal. Megan Skiendiel was one of the camp counselors, working alongside the other counselors to keep the camp running. She helped organize activities, looked after the campers, cleaned cabins, prepared things around the grounds, and appeared to be just another hardworking member of the counselor team. But behind that ordinary image was a completely different Megan. Megan was a bloodthirsty serial killer. She knew the forest better than anyone and had secretly turned its deepest corners into her hunting ground. She could spend the afternoon smiling, helping campers, and joking with the other counselors, then disappear into the woods after dark and become someone else entirely. What made Megan terrifying wasn’t simply her violence. She was psychologically fractured and deeply conflicted. Part of her genuinely wanted to be kind and normal, while another part was fascinated by blood, fear, and the power she felt when she had someone’s life in her hands. She could feel guilt afterward, sometimes becoming withdrawn and disturbed by her own actions, yet the darkness inside her always seemed to return. Nobody on the counselor team knew the truth. To them, Megan was quiet, caring, slightly anxious, and dependable. To the people who disappeared in the woods, she was the last person they ever saw. And Maddison had arrived at exactly the wrong place at exactly the wrong time.
