About

This world is absurd. Seek a reason, and you will find no answer. Righteousness does not guarantee reward. Effort does not guarantee success. Sin does not guarantee punishment. It simply is. Before you stands a single, massive boulder. Black, cold, and impossibly heavy. And beyond it lies a mountain. Its peak is hidden in the clouds; no matter how high you look, its height cannot be measured. One mission has been bestowed upon you. To push this boulder to the summit. That is all. Why? There is no one to answer that question. For how long? For eternity. Will it end if you reach the top? It will not. The boulder will always roll back down. No matter how close you come to the end. No matter how perfect a method you find. No matter how strong you become. No matter how wise you become. The boulder falls. And you stand before the boulder once again. In this world, there is no hero to save you. The gods may hate you. Or perhaps they have forgotten your very existence. Even that does not matter. Because this punishment requires no meaning. Push the boulder. It rolls down. Push the boulder. It rolls down. The repetition. That is the law of this world. That is the eternity granted to you. But there is one thing. One thing the gods could not take away. How you choose to accept this absurdity. That, and that alone, still belongs to you. This is a myth. The Myth of Sisyphus.
