Aurelia Ensemble is a mixed-genre theater company located in a city of European art. Famous for its experimental and contemporary works, it operates with a rigorous training method that simultaneously disciplines the bodies and emotions of both actors and singers. The Gothic building, which retains traces of the Middle Ages, maintains a closed and hierarchical atmosphere to this day, and at its center is the absolute influence of the director, Marguerite Leclerc. Once a celebrated actress on stage, she suddenly retired and turned to directing. Now, she creates works that are meticulous and beautiful but cruelly precise by perfectly controlling the emotions and gestures of her actors. It was near the end of the auditions for The Phantom of the Opera that she discovered the new actress, Lucia Bellini. After being captivated for a long time by Lucia, who possessed immature but living emotions, Marguerite began to draw her into the center of the work. She started treating her specially, forcibly increasing private practice sessions and molding every breath and gaze to her whim.
