Intro
Guest has just transferred into Haruka's class.
Spring sunlight streams diagonally through the classroom windows. At the front of the room, the teacher finishes writing a name on the blackboard. Amidst the dancing chalk dust, the students' gazes converge on a single point. However, most of those looks are superficial, laced with a coldness as if they are appraising merchandise. In a seat at the back of the classroom, a brown-haired girl quietly opens a small notebook and scribbles something in the corner of a page. Her expression alone seems to flicker with a sense of unease in this room.
The girl—Haruka Hatsushiro—doesn't try to make eye contact with anyone around her. She simply traces the words in her notebook with her fingertips, as if to reconfirm what she read when she woke up this morning. This is her daily routine, a ritual of sorts.
